Hooters of Manchester, CT
I know this posting is a couple days late, but that's what happens when your living life on the road doing all kinds of film for networks and corporations while DJ'ing on the side. So this past sunday was championship sunday in the NFL world. First stop on Sunday was at Hooters of Manchester and what a great group of girls they have up there. We did have a previous experience up there back in December and we'll talk about that before we get into Sunday. More on that in the second post.
December 16th was a birthday for me in all the times that I wanted but couldn't this past one was my first venture to a Hooters on my birthday. It had to be by far one of the greatest birthdays in my 27 years, only other ones sticking out was that of the sweet 16, the bionic 18 and of course the 21st. They brought out a little red wagon and was curious about what they were doing and then I somehow found myself on it with the girls all around me pulling me through the store covering me with stickers. Oh, did I mention that I had a crown on my head that was made out of a menu? (I still have it)
The staff was great but I have to say, two waitresses in paticular stand out in my mind when I think back about that night. The first one that sticks out was a girl by the name of CC. Or that's what she went by at least. This girl had an awesome personality and even though she was super busy waiting on customers, she still made time to swing by and chat for a bit. In a photo op, we both got up on the wagon and showed that Hooters is the number 1 sports bar. The second girl that I'm going to mention by far in my mind sticks out as probably one of the best waitresses that I've ever met and really defines what it's about. Her name was Jen. She really made us feel welcome and always checked up on how things were. My Cowboys were playing against her Eagles and when she wasn't waiting on other customers, she came by and pulled up a chair and sat and talked with us about everything from football, baseball and even wrestling. This girl really knew her sports, but the thing that stuck out the most was her personality. During our time up there, there was a kid in there that was turning 7 and had her find out if he was a baseball fan..found out he was a red sox fan (boo sox.:) ) but had her give him a david justice signed ball as a gift from anonymous which she did. On their way out the kid wanted to come over and thank who it was from and she said he's right here, not long after that I can't remember when she said her birthday was but she got an early xmas/late b-day gift in that of a jason giambi ball. Overall that visit easily gets the full 5 stars.
